6:00 PM: Coaches Clinic 7:30 PM: Sports Talk (All welcome)

Stow Youth Basketball Association is excited to announce that the 2017-2018 coaches clinic will be conducted by Bob Bigelow. The Clinic will be followed by a sports talk conducted by Bob. Bob is a former first round draft pick in the NBA. He played collegiately at the University of Pennsylvania for Hall of Fame Coach Chuck Daly. Additionally, he was a member of the 1977-78 Celtics. He is nationally recognized for his approach to participating and coaching youth sports. Coaches Clinic 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Bob will provide techniques on coaching youth basketball, along with hands-on drills. At the end of the clinic you will be able to run a successful practice with your players and have a list of the best drills to run during your practices. This is a great opportunity for experienced coaches pick up new ideas and for new coaches to learn from an expert on coaching. It is strongly encouraged that all registered Stow coaches attend the Coaches Clinic. Sports Talk 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM: In addition to the coaches clinic, Bob will facilitate a youth sports talk. This is for all youth sports, not just basketball. The talk is educational, challenging, motivational, and humorous. Coaches and parents who have attended in the past give it very high marks. “The Best talk I’ve ever heard on any subject,” said one listener. “I recommend it to anyone who deals with the youth of America to spend one hour with Bob Bigelow.” Said another. You are guaranteed to leave with a better understanding of what children really want and need from sports activities. The Sports Talk presentation is open to all parents and coaches, who would like to get a better feel for how to coach not only your own child but others as well. This will be a fun and informative evening! We are looking forward to see everyone there!
