This was formerly three parishes Beechamwell, St. John's; Beechamwell, St. Mary's; andBeechamwell, All Saints. There were also three churches, two being now in ruins. St. John and St. Mary's are consolidated, annual value £190 ; Rev. George Roberts, incumbent. All Saints is incorporated with Shingham, and held by the Rev. Campbell, of Weasenham. The parish contains upwarde of 4,000 acres, and a population of about 355. J. Fielden, Esq., is lord of the manor. · Swaffham is the nearest money-order, telegraph office, and post town. Roberts Rev. St. John's Smith Wm. blacksmith and beer retailer j Smith William Wilkinson Miss Hannah, schoolmistress BEDINGHAM is a village and parish, distant 4t miles N.W. of Bungay, 7 E. from Flordon station, and 11 S. from Norwich, in Loddon hundred and Loddon and Clavering union, diocese of Nor- - wich, archdeaconry of Norfolk, and rural deanery of Brooke, East Norfolk. The population in 1871 was 28D. The church is deaicated to St. Andrew. The living is a vicarage, value £150 in 1831, arising from additions ; with £200 from Queen Anne's Bounty, and a gift of £200, with which 14 acres of land were bought; the Rev. F. C. T. Hobbins is the vicar. A Parochial school was erected in 1863. The town lands consist of 23a. 3r., and let for £46, which is applied to church purposes. The poor have £12 15s., left by W. Purser. The area of the parish is 1,340 acres, rated at £2,136 17s. 10d., which belongs chiefly to C. W. Unthank, Esq., who is also lord of the manor.
