K Shreyas, Shyam Kishore Kumar , Ananthakrishnan G and K S Abishek - have secured admission in NIT, Trichy; •R Aditya joined Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Elakiya Anathakrishnan has been admitted in Warwick University, United Kingdom; •Mukund Rao has secured admission for Integrated MBA in IIM, Rohtak ; •Five of our students viz. P B Monishaa, E Subind Srinivas, K Rahul, Clare Sushil, N Srinidhi have secured admissions in reputed Medical colleges including Kilpauk Medical College in Tamil Nadu through NEET 11 P S Sr. Sec. Rao Advanced Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science (AIMSCS), S.S. Suriya Prakash (Junior Level) of Class X secured All India Rank 27 and A. Suriyaprakash of Class X secured the overall 4th Place in the second round of “Aarohan” conducted by BITS Pilani, Rajasthan during November 2018. Yazhini of Class XI was declared “Artist of the year”. •In the Art Competition conducted by Children’s Club Society M. School, Mylapore, Chennai Outstanding Achievements State/City Level •In the Painting and Essay writing competition held on 02/11/2018 conducted by The Hindu and the Indian Oil Corporation the following students were awarded special prizes. Our PhD students strength is around 170, and our post-doctoral student strength is presently 59. We are very pleased to note that an increasing number of students in the country are ben- efiting from our outreach programmes (for instance, Enriching Mathematics Education, FACETS 2015, Physics Training and Talent Search Workshop) and we are proud of the efforts of our faculty, both at an individual and at institutional level in this regard. IMSc has started a monograph series last year, with a plan to publish at least one book every year. A book entitled “Problems in the Theory of Modular Forms” as ‘IMSc Lecture Notes - 1’ has been published this year Academic productivity of the members of the Institute has remained high. There were several significant publications reported in national and international journals and our faculty have authored a few books as well. Five students were awarded Ph.D., and three students have submitted their Ph.D. theses. Four students were awarded M.Sc. by Research, and two students have submitted their master’s theses under the supervision of our faculty.
