Headteacher’s message Dear parents, carers and children, Last week in school we took part in a retreat day “Hope and a future” as a spiritual focus to support our recovery curriculum, in light of the experience of living through lockdown and our return to school. Hope and a future comes from the quote in 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,..... “plans to give you hope and a future.”

The day in school was full of joy and the photographs, prayers, music and art work all demonstrated the hope we have in school and that your children, each day are building a better future. Whilst the days ahead are challenging, please read this prayer, written by one of our children in school, which I am certain will help in these uncertain times. Dear Lord, We thank you for bringing hope into our community. Thank you for the hope that has got us through. I hope the world is looked after so people can see it’s beauty. Amen Thank you to you all for the donations to support the refugees in our community, I always impressed by your generosity and care for others This Sunday’s Gospel was the parable of the vineyard owner. In the Gospel, we hear of the workers who are like people who didn’t listen to the Word of God. God made the earth, he wants us to look after it and care for one another so we all have equal parts and continue for the future. In caring for our common home what could you do to look after our world? Mrs Quatermain will be sending out dates for a socially distanced beach clean - perhaps we could start there!

Have a great week - Mrs Sill and all the staff at St. Benedict's
