Doss showed EIU fans signs of what may be ahead this season now that he is completely healthy. Doss suffered a broken ankle in the early fall last year which Jeremy Granger (1) sidelined him until late December. In 19 games he averaged 4.6 points with two 29 pts, 10 reb. vs. Tennessee Tech (1-27-11) games in double figures. In the opener with Indiana State, Doss played 27 minutes with 9 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals.

• EIU received some small contributions from its two freshman on the squad as Joey Miller played 22 minutes and Josh Piper played 14 with both players coming off the bench.
