UNIVERSE Host: Eugenides Foundation co-organised by: for EGO, Perimeter Institute, Athens National Observatory, ALL Athens Univ., Harokopio Univ., NTUA, 2 Primary Schools (Piraeus, Hill) Nov. 2019 (pilot event): 3 week-ends, 30 teachers (10 prim., 10 gymn., 10 lyc.) from Athens region (152 appl.) Specialised seminars for each level. Teachers send back reports for actions in the class.

We schedule to repeat the event for 2 more years with teachers from all around Greece.

May, 7-9, 2020 International UNIVERSE Particle Physics Outreach for Group ALL Targets of the programme are: • to encourage the teachers to transfer the scientific way of thinking and the research culture to their students, acting as prototypes and multiplicative factors in their local society, • to perform research, development and implementation of innovative and participatory educational acts in the classroom as well as outside of it, planning experiments adapted to the students needs.

Among the events of the pilot programme we note: • Introduction to Elementary Particle Physics and CERN, • Introduction to Cosmology, • Cosmology and Microcosm with simple materials (lab), • Constructing a cloud chamber (lab), • Scientific Models: Black Box, • How do we make a black hole? Estimating the mass of Sgr A*, • The expanding universe, • Quantum reality: Wave-particle duality, • Evidence for climate change and temperature rising, • MasterClass using HYPATIA and ATLAS data May, 7-9, 2020
