Eiras, a sophomore at Mt. Eden High School in Hayward, California, began singing at the age of three. Although her career in music has just started, music has been in her family for years. Her father, Angelo Eiras, is a well-known musician in the local Portuguese and Brazilian community. Eiras’ parents encouraged her to listen to the radio and give singing a try. She is self-taught, and trains using techniques from online and past choir classes. “Singing is me, I could never not sing – it’s a passion that has always stayed with me. It helps me get through my days and look forward to my future,” said Eiras. To Eiras, singing is more than just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle and passion.
