However, for those who have answered the calls, listened to the stories from local, non- profit agencies and taken pledges and turned them into a running total: it’s business as usual. The fourth annual Bull Country Community Cares Radio-A-Thon sponsored by Sam Dial Jewelers will take place this Thursday and Friday, October 15th and 16th at Inland Northwest Broadcas�ng in Moscow. The event is a fundraiser for the United Way of Pullman and United Way of Moscow/Latah County. In three years prior, more than $29,000 has been generated via over-the-phone pledges. The event takes place over 30 hours at Inland Northwest Broadcas�ng, the home of the Bull Country 99.5 (KZZL-FM) in Moscow. Volunteers from countless beneficiary and local non-profit organiza�ons as well as many community members and event sponsors take part in taking phone calls and pledges. 2015 sponsors and contributors of the Community Cares Radio-A-Thon include: Sam Dial of Sam Dial Jewelers in Downtown Pullman, WSECU, St. John Hardware and Implement in Moscow, Meineke Car Care Center of Moscow, Latah Sanita�on Inc. and Moscow Recycling, Palouse Country Candy in Pullman, and Café Moro in Pullman. This year, we helped provide extra money for medical expenses for families in nearby communities. We helped put more than 40,000 pounds of food on local tables through the Palouse Cares Food Drive. We con- nected with Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse to provide help to victims of domestic or sexual abuse.
