Starting at 6 p.m., the Chinese Lantern Festival becomes a ticketed event. Note that special group rates are available for groups of 20 or more. Tickets are also available at the festival entrance, but guests are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time to avoid long lines. (This festival is very popular.) Where: Franklin Square, 200 N. 6th Street Philadelphia Latino Film Festival Friday, June 01 - 03, 2018 One weekend in June features films by established and emerging Latino and Latin American filmmakers at the Latino Film Festival. The lineup includes feature films, shorts, youth films, animations and documentaries, in English or Spanish with subtitles, along with workshops and discussions. Broad Street Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show Friday, June 01 - 03, 2018 Now in its 90th year, the Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show is the nation’s oldest outdoor art show of its kind. The area in and around Rittenhouse Square fills up with 100-plus artists (professionals and students) from across North America, bringing works of all different types of subject matters and mediums to peruse. Rittenhouse Square Schedule: Friday, June 1 : 11am - 7pm June 2 : 11am – 7pm June 3 : 11am – 5pm Garden Railway Seasonal Opening Jun 1, 2018 – September 3, 2018 The display is a miniature world with a quarter-mile track running through it, all set in the splendor of Morris Arboretum’s summer garden. It features loops and tunnels, bridges and trestles and all of the miniature buildings are created entirely of natural materials, each meticulously detailed with leaves, bark, vines and twigs. Logs and branches are also used to create unique tunnels and overhead trestles. Where: Morris Arboretum, 100E. Audubon Bird Town Bird Walk Sunday, Jun 3, 2018 Come to a weekend morning bird walk with the whole family. The excitement kicks off Friday night at 6 p.m. with the Fancy Brigade Pub Crawl through local drinking establishments in the North Wildwood Entertainment District. A colorful Mummers parade will begin at 3 p.m.
