Club 640 Two Day Clinic April 1 & 2, 2017 Free Two Day Seminar for Members on Use, Care, Rigging and the Viper 640 Fort Walton Yacht Club, Fort Walton Beach, Florida

The goal of this two-day clinic is to provide a learning opportunity for members of local GYA clubs and private owners on rigging, setting-up, basic tuning, sailing fundamentals, put away, de-rigging, and fundamental trailering.

The clinic is open to the Pensacola YC , Fort Walton YC, and Saint Andrews Bay YC privately and club owned Viper sailors, owners, crew, potential crew and anyone interested in learning more about the Viper.

Please RSVP by March 29, 2017 to [email protected] or 850-797-2933. Please bring your club or private Viper 640 to Fort Walton Yacht Club, unrigged and uncovered prior to start time of the clinic. Bring as many people that want to participate and sail.

Schedule for Saturday April 1st 1030-1100: Registration and Check in. 1100-1120: Introductions. 1130-1230: Learn to rig the Viper 640. 1230-1300: Learn to set up and basic tune the Viper 640. 1300-1400: Boats go in water, learn tricks and tips about launching the Viper 640. 1425-1630: Sailing the Viper 640. Topics covered will be basic boat handling, setting, gybing, and dousing the spinnaker techniques, “wipe-out recovery techniques”, tips and tricks. 1630-1715: Boats out of water 1730-1800: Recap and questions

Schedule for Sunday April 2nd 0900: Club is open for Brunch ($9.95) 1030-1125: Boats go in water 1125-1145: Recap and questions 1200-1400: Sailing the Viper 640. Building on skills learned from Saturday. 1400-1445: Boats out of water. 1445-1545: Learn to de-rig Viper and Trailering set up tips and tricks. 1545-1645: Debrief and open forum for questions. 1650: Go home and enjoy what you learned this weekend.
