-i \) i i\)~1 \lIXI TO CITY CLERK FOR PLACEMENT ON Nr:XT MOTI REG LAR COUNCIL AG~r'!DA TO BE POSTED #581 The Ricardo Montalban Foundation is sponsoring the "Zorro In Hell" event on May 5, 2007, from 3:00 P,M, to 5 :00 P,M, The event will be sponsored by a non-profit organization announcing the first public sale oftickets for the original production of"Zorro In Hell" starrng the members ofthe group Cultue Clash, The 3 members of Culture Clash wil be on hand to speak to reporters and their fans, Council Distrct Thirteen has received a request that the City provide certain services and declare this function a Special Event. Approval of this request will be an estimated $1,642 in fees and salar costs wil be absorbed by the City, (Event Coordinator: Gill Smith - 213/760-4234 and Fax No, 323/463-0089). I THEREFORE MOVE that the "Zorro In Hell" event be declared a Special Event, and City deparments be requested to waive all fees and costs associated with this event, except insurance and application requirements. I FURTHER MOVE that the Event Sponsor be directed to fulfill the insurance requirements of the City by contacting the Bureau of Street Services - Street Use Inspection Division at 2 i 3/847 -6000 to "btain, and complete, the necessary insurance forms, upon adoption of this Motion by the City CounciL. I FURTHER MOVE that pursuant to Ordinance No. 150,567 relating to temporary street closures, the following streets be closed on May 5, 2007, from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., subject to the supervision of the Director of the Bureau of Street Services: . Curb and sidewalk closure on the westside of Vine Street between Hollywood Boulevard and Selma Avenue. I FURTHER MOVE that the Bureau of Street Services be directed to furnish the necessary traffic control devices. These devices will be provided with the understanding that the sponsoring organization will pick up and return them to the Bureau, and remove any debris following this event. I FURTHER MOVE that the Departent of Transporttion be directed to post "Temporary No Stopping" signs and provide traffc control personnel, if necessar. I FURTHER MOVE that the City Council authorize the Chief Legislative Analyst, or his designee, to make technical corrections or clarifications as may be necessary to implement the intent of this Motion.
