Financial Update “This year was a year of firsts for us and Camp Odayin. As hard as it was to send our son off Total Income to camp, it was a very pleasant experience to $873,827 send him to Camp Odayin. We worry if something happens in general, but when you have a child with significant heart complications you worry a lot more. But when we sent him to Camp Odayin, it was such a blessing. He could still go to camp but with the medical staff and support he was able to "just be a kid" and that is priceless to us. Directly as a result of that positive experience, we decided to attend Family Camp. I was a little hesitant, but curious too. To my delight, it was an absolutely amazing experience. For the first time in my life, I was able to have not only one, but many conversations with other parents who actually could relate to our situation. Not only relate, they completely understood. I can't express to you how much that helps.” Parent of a Chippewa camper “I went to Camp Odayin for 9 years. I had many new and wonderful experiences during my years at camp. The best part about camp was the people. The counselors and nurses were always so positive. They specialized in making sure everyone felt included and had a buddy. I was able to build relationships with several fellow campers over the years. This made camp an experience to anticipate and something that became more precious as we got older. I also received lots of perspective from my camp friends, many of them had a more serious condition than I Total Expense do. Some passed away in adolescence $551,305 Program Expenses* and it was an honor to know them, watch Residential Camp - 56% them laugh and enjoy camp to the fullest. Family Camp - 21% They helped teach me to savor the little Winter Camp - 8% Young Adult Retreat - 6% joys in life and to be thankful in all things.” Day Camp - 3% Former Odayin camper Other - 6% Fundraising Update Generous philanthropists raised a total of $192,700 at fundraising events in 2015.
