Multinational Heavy Rock Megalith from Stockholm. Lucifer is defined by their very heavy 1970s Hard Rock sound spiced with a good dose of Proto Heavy Metal and Doom Rock. Main influences are groups such as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Blue Öyster Cult, Lucifer’s Friend, Steppenwolf, 70’s Heart and Fleetwood Mac. With nearly 200 shows under their belt Lucifer has toured the US, Canada, Japan and Europe multiple times and played renowned international festivals like The KISS Kruise, Psycho Las Vegas, Hellfest, MetalDays, Sweden Rock, Desertfest, the long standing German cult TV program Rockapalast twice, to name only but a few. Founded in 2014 in Berlin by The Oath front woman Johanna Sadonis, the group first consisted of Cathedral, Angel Witch and Ladytron members. The first 7” Single ‘Anubis’ and debut album ‘Lucifer I’, penned by Sadonis and Cathedral’s Garry Jennings and released by British label Rise Above Records, brought Lucifer international recognition. With a shift of constellation within the band in 2016 and Johanna Sadonis’ move from Berlin to Stockholm, Lucifer were ready for chapter two. In Nicke Andersson, notable for his groups The Hellacopters, Entombed, Imperial State Electric, Death Breath among others, Sadonis found a new renowned writing partner. Together they wrote Lucifer’s second album ‘Lucifer II’ and produced it at Nicke’s studio The Honk Palace in Stockholm in the summer of 2017. With the critically acclaimed release of their long awaited second album ‘Lucifer II’ 2018 on Century Media and the videos for the singles ‘California Son’ and ‘Dreamer’, Lucifer was facing a new grand chapter. With more than 13.000 physical copies sold, the album jolted into the Swedish, German, British and American charts, received outstanding worldwide attention and was applauded by the music press. It came as no surprise ‘Lucifer II’ was nominated Best Hard Rock/Metal album by renowned Swedish Radio Price P3 and Hard Rock/Metal act of the year by Gaffa Price Sweden. In between touring the world relentlessly the group settled back into Nicke Andersson’s Honk Palace studio in Stockholm this winter to record the new album “Lucifer III” set to be released worldwide on March 20th 2020 via Century Media Records. With the powerful new single “Ghosts” freshly released in January 2020 it is evident that this group is ready to climb higher up the Mount Olympus of Rock. En stor del av varför jag tycker att en skiva är bra är ljudbilden. Det låter kanske banalt men ta till exempel den svenska dödsmetall-scenen i slutet av 80-talet och början 90-talet. Både Entombeds Left Hand Path (1990) och Dismembers Like An Everflowing Stream (1991) har det välkända Sunlight-soundet som är en ljudbild som band i dödsmetall-genren än idag försöker återskapa. Under fem utspridda dagar spelade vi in sex stycken av mina egenkomponerade låtar och genom gedigen efterforskning ville vi försöka återskapa samma känsla och ljudbild som på skivan By The Grace of God av The Hellacopters. (040) 853 88 888 ∙ www.fkpscorpio.com PRESSEMITTEILUNG 04.10.2013 Dregen und Imperial State Electric im Dezember gemeinsam auf Tour Zwei Chefrocker aus Schweden gehen gemeinsam mit ihren Bands auf Tour: Seit der Gründung der Hellacopters Mitte der 90er spielen Andreas Tyrone Dregen und Nicke Andersson eine wichtige Rolle in der nationalen und internationalen Rockszene. Dregen war unter anderem bei den Backyard Babies aktiv, gründete die genannten Hellacopters mit, spielte in der Supergroup Super$hit666, war Gitarrist bei Michael Monroe und veröffentlichte jüngst seine erste Soloplatte. Nicke war Mitglied der Hellacopters, von Entombed und gründete vor ein paar Jahren zusammen mit Dolph de Borst von den Datsuns die Rockband Imperial State Electric (deren neuestes Album „Reptile Brain Music“ im November erscheint). Obwohl die beiden dicke Freunde und Trinkkumpanen sind, standen sie seit 1998 nicht mehr zusammen auf der Bühne. Aber das wird sich demnächst ändern: Das deftige Duo geht im Dezember zusammen auf Doppel-Headline-Tour, und beide haben bestätigt, dass sie einiges vorhaben und die Fans mit spontanen und geplanten Aktionen überraschen wollen. Dregen meint dazu: „Ich kann es kaum erwarten, dieses Paket zu schnüren. Ich habe mit Nicke seit der Trennung von den Hellacopters nicht mehr zusammengespielt“, und Nicke ergänzt: „Wir kommen zwar mit zwei unterschiedlichen Bands, aber wer weiß schon, was am Ende des Abends passiert. „Jag har aldrig haft nån plan B“ En intervju med Nicke Andersson Som (grundande) medlem av flera välkända band spelar låtskrivaren, sångaren, gitarristen och trummisen Nicke Andersson sedan flera decennier en avgörande roll i den svenska musikscenen. Sedan det sena 80-talet gör han musik och har sedan dess producerat otaliga låtar och skivor av olika genre. Som musiknörd älskar han såväl Soul, R’n’B och Rock’n’Roll som Punk, Hårdrock och olika Metal-Subgenre. Hans musikaliska karriär återspeglar hans stilistiska mångfald. Nicke Andersson började som trummis i det svenska death metal pionjärbandet Entombed. I mitten av 90-talet startade han The Hellacopters, som skulle bli ett av Sveriges viktigaste rockband. Två år efter att The Hellacopters slutade 2008 startade han sitt nya bandprojekt Imperial State Electric. Under hösten 2013 släppte ISE deras tredje studioalbum „Reptile Brain Music“. Med den nya skivan gick bandet på Europaturné. Innan konserten i Berlin pratade Nicke Andersson med „Besser Nord als nie!“ bland annat om turnén, det nya albumet och hans karriär. Hej! Tack för intervjun! Hur många har det redan varit idag? Ah, vad kan det var då? Fem? Ja, kanske. Jag har tappat räkningen. Men är det nåt som du gillar att göra eller något som man helt enkelt måste göra om man vill eller inte? Jaaa, alltså jag har aldrig tyckt att det är så speciellt kul att prata om mig själv. Men någon måste göra det och det brukar vara jag för att det är jag som skriver flest låter. Jag har inga problem med det, men jag tycker att spela är roligare.
