AI thought that trip [to and from California] might knock her back a little, but they had the parade of Breeders= Cup champions here at Churchill last weekend and she was just feeling so good. We took her to the track to train her just to let her down a little. I never even thought about the Cigar Mile until that weekend.@ Prior to her 4 1/2-length Breeders= Cup score, Groupie Doll recorded four straight victories: the Apr. 12 GI Madison S. at Keeneland; May 5 GI Humana Distaff S. at Churchill Downs; Sept. 8 GII Presque Isle Masters S. and Oct. 6 GII TCA S. at Keeneland. In her sole previous start against males, the homebred was three-quarters of a length behind Boys At Tosconova (Officer) going a mile in a Gulfstream optional claimer Jan. 27. AShe came back good and ate up last night,@ observed Bradley. ASince the layoff over the summer [between the Humana Distaff and Presque Isle Masters], she=s only had three starts and she=s won all three of them impressively. She=ll get a vacation after this regardless, but she=s got something left. We want to run her when she=s ready to run, and she=s ready right now. • The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Races 2008 – the Turf World Championships
Welcome to the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Races 2008 – The Turf World Championships. This year’s CXHKIR will welcome its largest ever number of global racing stars to Sha Tin on Sunday, 14 December. Four G1 races, worth a combined HK$62m (approx. US$8m) in stakes, have invited a record 37 international runners to join 18 of the very best from Hong Kong. Sixteen individual G1 winners are present from 11 racing jurisdictions overall. In the FORM GUIDE of each race, the PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS table provides you with a bird-eye's view of the race. This at-a-glance guide gives you a full form summary of the horses in a simple and concise table. Another handy tool is the INTERNATIONAL RATINGS CHART. In weight-for-age races like the Cathay Pacific HKIR, generally speaking, the higher a horse's rating, which is based on racing performance, the better its chance to win. A preliminary SPEED CHART has been included to assist in identifying likely positions in running. Please note that this is preliminary only and the full Speed Map will be available after barrier draw in the SpeedPOWER Form Guide on www.hkjc.com/english/formguide/formguide.asp. If you need further information and analysis, just flip over to the next section where you will find the COMPREHENSIVE PAST PERFORMANCE of the horses. Also included is the FORM ANALYSIS, which highlights the notable achievements and racing characteristics of each horse. Another feature is the RATINGS HISTORY CHART. This chart indicates the quality and consistency of a horse's previous 10 starts through a graphical illustration of the ratings achieved in these races.

2019 WORLD ALL-STAR JOCKEYS The World All-Star Jockeys (WASJ) is an international event launched by the Japan Racing Association. Formerly called the World Super Jockeys Series since its establishment in 1987, it has welcomed more than 240 top-caliber jockeys from Europe, North America, South America, Oceania and Asia. The event is held in late August at Sapporo Racecourse in Hokkaido. This year’s event welcomes five outstanding jockeys from New Zealand, United States, France, Ireland and Hong Kong in joining two NAR (National Association of Racing; local public racing) jockeys and seven JRA jockeys in their bid for the title. A team competition was added to the regular individual contest in 2015, in which the overseas and NAR jockeys form “Team WAS (World All-Star)” and compete against “Team JRA” to attain the most points as a team. The first two of the four-race series will be conducted on August 24th (Sat), while the third and fourth will be held the following day. 2018 World All-Star Jockeys (closing ceremony) August 2019 The Japan Racing Association 1 The 2019 World All-Star Jockeys 1.
