COMEBACK KINGS: On Nov. 14, the Cavs overcame a 17-point fourth quarter deficit by outscoring the Boston Celtics 38-20 in the final frame to pick up the 122-121 win on the road. The Wine and Gold trailed by as many as 19 points in the period. The last time Cleveland overcame a fourth quarter deficit by that much was March 10, 2009 against the L.A. JAMES PASSES “THE CHIEF” IN BOSTON: In the Nov. 14 victory in Boston, LeBron James had a strong all-around game with 41 points on 16-27 (.593) shooting, four rebounds, a team-high seven assists and one block in 41 minutes. His 18-foot jump shot at the 6:39 mark of the second quarter moved him into 24th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, passing “The Chief”, Robert Parish (23,334). James now has 23,360 career points and is closing in on Charles Barkley (23,757).

TWO OF A KIND: In the 118-111 win over New Orleans on Nov. 10, Kyrie Irving and LeBron James Teammates with at least 32 pts, 9 asts, 5 rebs each posted a stat line of 32 points and nine assists, becoming the first ever duo in Cavs history to in same game (since 1985-86) tally those numbers in the same game. LEBRON RETURNS: Four-time MVP LeBron James returned to the Cavaliers this past summer where he is the franchise’s leader in points scored, scoring average, field goals made and attempted, free throws made and attempted, steals and minutes played. In 2013-14, James was selected to the All-NBA First Team and All-Defensive Second Team, while averaging 27.1 points (ranked third in NBA) on a career-best .567 shooting from the field (fourth in NBA), 6.9 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.6 steals in 37.7 minutes over 77 games (all starts). LOVE-LY ADDITIONS: The Cavs acquired several veteran players this past offseason, including Shawn Marion, James Jones, Brendan Haywood and Mike Miller. The team also acquired three-time NBA All-Star Kevin Love, who averaged a career-high 26.1 points in 2013-14, while also adding a .376 clip from beyond the arc, .821 from the foul line, 12.5 rebounds and a career-high 4.4 assists in 36.3 minutes per game. Love became the first player in NBA history to record 2,000 points, 900 rebounds and 100 three-pointers in a single season and among NBA leaders in 2013-14, he ranked first in double-doubles (65), first in defensive rebounds per game (9.6), third in total rebounds per game (12.5), fourth in points per game (26.1), tied for fourth in triple-doubles (3) and tied for eighth in three-pointers (190). He also collected a league- leading 24 20-point/10-rebound/5- performances on the season, and scored in double figures in all 77 games, including 57 20-point games, 25 30-point games and six 40-point games, and recorded 21 games of at least 30 points and 10 rebounds.

IRVING IS GOLDEN: At the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Madrid, Spain, Kyrie Irving helped Team USA capture the gold medal. His play earned him the 2014 FIBA World Cup Most Valuable Player award and All-Star Five selection. As the starting guard in nine tournament games with a 9-0 record, Irving averaged 12.1 points on .563 (45- 80) shooting, including .609 (14-23) from the three-point line, 2.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals in 24.4 minutes per game. In the 129-92 win over Serbia in the gold medal game on Sept. 14, the Cavs guard made all six of his three-point attempts as part of a 10-13 (.769) shooting display on his way to a game-high 26 points and four assists. Irving wasn’t the only player representing the Cavs in Spain, as Anderson Varejao participated in the event for Brazil and Matthew Dellavedova competed for Australia.

NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE - CANTON CHARGE

CANTON CHARGE UPDATE: The Canton Charge, the NBA Development League team owned and operated by the Cleveland Cavaliers, will open the 2014-15 season at home against the Delaware 87ers on Saturday, November 15th at 7:00 p.m. The team had its third straight playoff season in 2013-14. The Charge were eliminated from the NBA Development League playoff quarterfinal round against Sioux Falls Skyforce, 2-1. The playoff exit came after Canton’s 28-22 regular season mark, the second-best in franchise history. Canton’s new head coach, Jordi Fernandez, will lead the Charge, who led the D-League in field goal percentage (.479) and opponent points per game (101.5) last season. Canton recently finalized their training camp roster in preparation for the upcoming 2014-15 season. Six returning players will be back in Canton. Antoine Agudio has been with the franchise since its inaugural season, while William Buford, Cavs guard Will Cherry, Justin Johnson, Brandon Paul, and Steve Weingarten all spent time with the Charge in 2013-14. Chris Crawford and Stephen Holt both were in NBA training camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers in October and were added to the Charge roster via the affiliate rule. Levi Giese and Jordan Swing earned their invitations to training camp through the Charge’s local tryouts in September. Canton’s 12th overall selection in the 2014 NBA D-League Draft, Michael Dunigan, headlines the six players chosen on Saturday. MOVEMBER: Several Cavs players, led by Matthew Dellavedova, have taken it upon themselves to participate in “Movember” this year to raise awareness for men’s health issues. On November 1st, Dellavedova, along with Joe Harris, Alex Kirk and Anderson Varejao all had a “clean shave” to start the month off and will be growing mustaches for the rest of the month. WINE AND GOLD GOING PINK FOR SATURDAY’S GAME: Tonight, Saturday, November 15th, the Cleveland Cavaliers will add pink to their Wine and Gold repertoire and are encouraging fans to do the same. The Cavs are teaming with Cleveland Clinic and Komen Northeast Ohio to host the team’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night when they host the Atlanta Hawks at 7:30 p.m. There are many ways fans can get involved and show their support for the women’s health issue on Saturday, such as wear pink to the game, pick up a pink ribbon tattoo, courtesy of Komen, at the Express Yourself stations on the concourse, have fun with the pink hair paint at the Express Yourself stations, write and display an inspirational message on pink poster board on the concourse, stop by the Cleveland Clinic table outside section 103 and the Komen table by section 128 to learn helpful tips and information, purchase the pink breast cancer awareness t- shirt in the Cavaliers Team Shop, from which a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Cleveland Clinic and Komen, and participate in the in-arena 50/50 raffle, the money from which will be donated to Cleveland Clinic and Komen. Fans won’t be the only ones donning the pink on Saturday – Moondog, Sir C.C., the Cavalier Girls and the Scream Team will all be dressed in the traditional breast cancer awareness color for the game. Many people throughout the arena – including Cavs coaches and broadcasters – will also be wearing pink ribbons that night. Expected to be a truly inspiring moment, fans will want to remain in their seats for halftime in order to see the human ribbon of breast cancer survivors on the court. Approximately 90 survivors selected by Cleveland Clinic and Komen will participate. Pink ribbons will also be projected onto the court during the halftime ceremony, using the same technology as the popular pregame player introductions.

IHEART MEDIA CINCINNATI ANNOUNCE FOX SPORTS 1360 WSAI AND ESPN 1530 WCKY JOIN CAVALIERS RADIO NETWORK: iHeartMedia Cincinnati announced Monday, Nov. 10, that Fox Sports 1360 WSAI and ESPN 1530 WCKY will join the Cleveland Cavaliers Radio Network, bringing live Cavaliers radio basketball coverage to fans in southwest Ohio for the first time. CAVS COACHES AND PLAYERS HONORED VETERANS DAY BY SERVING THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY: The Cleveland Cavaliers spent Veterans Day giving back to men and women who have given to their country. Head Coach David Blatt, Assistant Coach James Posey and players , Joe Harris and Alex Kirk served dinner to more than 200 Cleveland-area veterans on Tuesday, Nov. 11. Cavs legends and current broadcasters Jim Chones and Campy Russell also took part of the team’s contingency at the Veterans Domiciliary at Wade Park. The dinner was part of the NBA Cares Hoops for Troops programming, presented by PlayStation.
