Vinny Appice, -is the solid rhythm force and drumming power behind DIO, BLACK SABBATH, HEAVEN AND HELL, WWIII, AXIS, RICK DERRINGER, JOHN LENNON, LAST IN LINE, KILL DEVIL HILL and more. He has recorded and co-written songs on over 30 albums/CDs including many gold & multi-platinum classics like MOB RULES, HOLY DIVER, LAST IN LINE, LIVE EVIL. Touring the world for over 3 decades , selling millions of records, Vinny is part of Rock history.

Vinny's drums can be heard on numerous movie soundtracks including "WAYNES WORLD2, HEAVY METAL, IRON EAGLE, BEDAZZLED, BAD TEACHER AND THE BLACK & BLUE MOVIE.

The author of drum instruction book "Rock Steady" and DVD "Hard Rock Drumming Techniques" Vinny has performed incredible powerhouse drum clinics around the globe . Numerous books have been written about Black Sabbath and Dio with the authors always mentioning Vinny's unique powerful drumming style!

He made the cover of Modern Drummer in 2012, achieving a lifelong ambition and goal from his beginnings.

Appearing in the DAVE GROHL movie "SOUND CITY", Vinny played drums on a song written by Dave for the movie sound track . Alongside Vinny was Dave on bass, Warren Demartini on guitar and Steven Percy on vocals. DIO'S debut album HOLY DIVER was recorded at Sound City in 1983, selling over 3 million copies.

Vinny has also been working with "ROCK FANTASY CAMP", an incredible music event helping & inspiring musicians everywhere since 2010.

Currently recording with original DIO line up , Vivian Campbell, Jimmy Bain, Claude Schnell and new vocalist Andy Freeman, called" LAST IN LINE", the CD is due out end of 2015 with touring to follow 2016.
