Tony Benneworth presented a very precise précis on the new constitution. A letter from Buckingham B.C. re: their charges per person per day etc. was sent to B.T. and their reaction was the same as B.T.S. and they will not be hosting any events there this season. The new constitution is now with B.A. legal advisors. We will be receiving notification from B.A. regarding certain bowls shoes being declared illegal. We received an email from Glen Stephens, informing us that he has resigned as State Selector and Manager. General business: All B.T.S. board members have now received notification regarding the opposite gender changes and the action being taken, so president Trevor Quilliam asked can we have the Boards decision confirmed. Moved: T. Fulton, seconded: A. Milburn, then Max Banks asked why we did not leave this section in the CoP unchanged as per last seasons CoP. Bev. Gillie told the Board that she had been conversing with Taroona ladies and that they had stated they were going to liaise with Hobart Indoor ladies. A discussion took place as to whether we would have the same problems we encountered last season, hopefully the new opposite gender form will stop this especially with the penalty being the loss of the game plus 15 shots, one of the problems is not having the Chairman of Selectors in the fixture book for clubs to contact, so it was suggested we ask all clubs to provide this information, a list compiled, and then place it on the B.T.S. website to make it easier to contact clubs re: Subs. for pennant. The motion was approved, all in favour. Page 3 of 3 Side Captains guide, all have received a copy, it was resolved that this document be approved. Delegates meetings are ladies Monday 26th September, at Rosny Park at 1.00p.m. The men’s delegate meeting is being held on the 10th October, at Beltana at 2.00p.m. Clubs are not happy with the way their delegates are voting, as they are supposed to be voting as instructed by their club when in fact the are voting as individuals and we should consider postal voting for important issues, accompanied by the minutes verifying the clubs views, also men only to vote on men’s issues and women to vote only on women’s issues. Opening Day, invitations have been sent, Men’s and Women’s match committees to organize a game of bowls for those wishing to play. Roger has sent Claremont an agenda on the correct protocol. Tony Fulton asked have we heard from RAC re: sponsorship. Grant Allford congratulated Ross Bannister on being appointed State Mens’s coach, and also congratulations to Neil Clark and Grant Allford on being selected in the State over 60’s side, they will be away from 17th October – 21st October 2011 AER pairs finals to be organized, and played by the end of November.
