Wholesale motorcycle market dropped by 14% to 4,139,711 units, while Honda sales declined by a larger 16% to 1,897,842 units due to intense competition. • The contribution from Astra’s consumer finance operations increased reflecting the growth in their overall book, including balances financed through joint financing without recourse. • Agribusiness revenue decreased 18% yoy due to fluctuation in crude palm oil prices. CPO production increased by 7%. • Komatsu unit sales decreased by 41% from 3,823 units (9M08) to 2,237 units (9M09), but operating profit were stronger due to model mix. As the largest mining contractor in Indonesia, Pama benefited from continued expansion in the sector. During the period, coal extracted increased by 10% to 48.5 million tonnes and overburden removed rose by 32% to 435.5 million bcm. The group’s own coal mining activity produced 1.8 mn tonnes coal and contributed 10% to UT’s revenue.
