Jigme Norbu Rinpoche, born in central in 1983 and recognized by HH Dudjom Rinpoche at six months of age as Tulku of Longchen Yeshe Dorje (Kangyur Rinpoche), the great 20th century tertön who was one of the first Tibetan masters to accept Western students. His reincarnation was independently confirmed by HH the Dalai , HH Sagya Trizin Rinpoche, HH Minling Rinpoche and HH Chogyal Tri Rinpoche. As a young child, Jigme Rinpoche was sent to India, where, under the protection of HH the , he completed primary education at Tibetan Children’s Village in Dharamsala. His higher monastic education was completed at Namdroling Monastery in southern India.

The Yantig Nagpo, the "Single Golden Syllable of the Black Quintessence", is a cycle of teachings belonging to the yang ti class of Ati Yoga (). It contains practices upon the Hundred and Peaceful and Wrathful Deities and the Great Perfection, with some pith instructions upon the practice of meditation in complete darkness. It is a found by the later Dungtso Repa, 15th century. He was an emanation of and Vairochana, and the immediate reincarnation of the first Dungtso Repa, who himself was a of Yeshe Dorje a disciple of .

Schedule: Fri, Oct 29 7:00pm - 9:30pm: Intro to the Yangtig Nagpo Lineage of Dark Retreat Sat, Oct 30 9:00am - 1:00pm: Lama Initiation (Wang) for the Yangtig Nagpo 3:00pm - 5:00pm: Reading transmission () for the preliminary practices (ngöndro) and lama practice of the Yangtig Nagpo, along with explanation. Sun, Oct 31 9:00am - 12:00pm: Further explanation of the Yangtig Nagpo ngöndro

Suggested Donation: $108 for all sessions, or $30/session. All proceeds from the event will be used for gifts to Rinpoche, for the use of the temple, and to defray material costs of the retreat.
