Brendale is a suburb in , .

It is located at north of , immediately south of Strathpine on the . The origin of the suburb name is from the name given to a horse stud established by William Bowden in the early

1960s. Brendale is mostly an industrial suburb, although several parks exist within it. It contains a Powerlink 275/110 kV electrical transmission substation called South

Pine Substation, as well as a waste treatment plant.

The size of Brendale is approximately 11 square kilometres. It has 4 parks covering nearly 3% of total

area.

Other Developments in Brendale:

Currently there are two major developments in the Brendale/Strathpine area: •Super Retail Group Distribution, incorporating Super Cheap Auto, Rebel Sport, Rays FCO, Boating Camping and Fishing •Aldi Distribution Centre

These infrastructures, alongside with the recent construction of Bunnings, will provide a very sound basis for any future growth in the area.

South Pine Sports Complex

The complex is located in Brendale, which is part of the Moreton Bay Region and is only 30 minutes from the heart of Brisbane. The complex has both indoor and outdoor facilities and is situated on 28ha of lush green sports fields.

The venue is currently home to 14 sporting clubs and one commercial beach volleyball centre. All clubs located at the complex are community focused and actively seek to encourage new members.
