NCM® Fathom Events Announces Classic Film Series Presented by * * * * * Commemorating Universal Pictures’ 100th Anniversary, Great American Classics Including “The Birds,” “Frankenstein,” “The Bride of Frankenstein” and “To Kill a Mockingbird” To Be Featured in Cinema Series this Fall

Centennial, Colo. – July 12, 2012 – NCM® Fathom Events, the alternative entertainment division of National CineMedia, is collaborating with Turner Classic Movies (TCM) to present a classic film series from Universal Pictures exclusively in select movie theaters nationwide beginning this fall, announced Shelly Maxwell, executive vice president of NCM Fathom Events. Fathom Events and TCM will kick off the ongoing series with four newly restored titles commemorating Universal Pictures' 100th anniversary:

. “The Birds” – Wednesday, Sept. 19 . “Frankenstein" & "The Bride of Frankenstein” (double feature) – Wednesday, Oct. 24 . “To Kill a Mockingbird” – Thursday, Nov. 15

The series will be introduced on-screen by TCM host, film historian and author Robert Osborne. Osborne will take audiences behind the scenes for each of these American classics, with exclusive interviews conducted at this year’s TCM Classic Film Festival.

“Fathom Events has experienced great success in bringing classic anniversary events to movie theaters around the country over the past several years,” said Maxwell. “This agreement with TCM enables us to offer audiences a chance to experience these four classics on the big screen once again.”

Fathom Events and TCM presented beloved classics “The Wizard of Oz” in 2009, “West Side Story” in 2011 and “Casablanca” in March 2012 to sold-out theaters across the country and will celebrate the 60th anniversary of “Singin’ in the Rain” in select theaters on Thursday, July 12.
