1992-93 Outlooks The Northern Iowa swimming and diving teams look to turn last yea(s school records into victories this season with squads that coach Jim Hall calls significantly improved over last year. Joining her are record-holders Kim Kadlec, Emily O'Toole, Jennifer Sondall and Nadine Ellis. Newcomers this season include Tina Purdy, Sarah Murphy and Andi Brown. The men's team looks to end an eight-meet losing string this season with depth and several promising newcomers. Leading the returnees is Phil Luebke, holder of the UNI record in the 200 meter butterfly. Joining him this season are captains Jon Stivers and Steve Oaks, along with freshmen Ian Barnhouse and Gus Skarlis, Jr. Hall said he expects the captains to be strong leaders this season. "Steve and Phil stand out," he said. "They've been around me for three years, so they know what's going on." One of the Panthers' strengths this season will be the diving team.
