A SPECIAL CLASS OF SENIORS This spring marks the final season for five seniors with the University of Northern Iowa baseball program: Jeremy Bunkers, Jason Eldridge, Aaron Lubach, Scott Schirmer and Jesse Zimmer. It also figures to be the final campaign for junior Matt Cobb, who plans to graduate in the spring and attend medical school at Kansas in the future. Over the past three seasons, this senior class has a record of 86-79, and they need 27 wins to become the winningest senior class in Panther baseball history. For seniors Aaron Lubach and Scott Schirmer, it marks the culmination of a ca reer that included a 32-23 season in 1997. In that season, the Panthers finished second in the Missouri Valley Conference, as Schirmer was named to the all-MVC honorable men tion team. Last season Lubach was used as both closer and set-up man, notching a perfect 3-0 record in the process.
