WHAT CAN I BOOK FOR?

We have designed the service so that it covers as much of our catchment as possible, adding routes where we are able. We have also added a free station to school and school to station service. It was our intention to look at how we might deliver a more flexible service. However, given the national shortage of drivers we have found it challenging to be able to implement it this year whilst continuing to keep the service viable.

SAFETY PROCEDURES

Our minibuses and drivers undergo rigorous safety checks. Extensive risk assessments are undertaken of each route Safeguarding regulations are adhered to at all times All external contractors undertake relevant safeguarding checks, and must provide insurance documents, and maintenance records. All drivers are correctly licensed and trained. Safety belts are in place, checked and required to be worn by all passengers Although we are unable to provide a mobile number for the driver due to road regulations, all drivers will be provided with the details of your child's emergency contact should any issues be experienced.

USING CLUBS, SPORTS PRACTICES, EXTENDED DAY OR SUPERVISED STUDY BEFORE A 17:40 DEPARTURE

If you select an Evening Route that departs at 17:40, our assumption is that your child will be attending an after-school club, a sports practice or Extended Day/Supervised Study. You will need to book these options for your child when the booking form is launched (late Aug/early Sept) and the normal fees for those activities will apply. If Extended Day/Supervised Study is used as an interim between a club/practice finish time and the bus departure, then no fee will apply.

NOTIFYING US OF YOUR CHILD'S ABSENCE

We take our safeguarding responsibility seriously, so we need you to communicate with us when your child is not expected to be using the service. We ask you to:

Use Cognita Connect messages to let us know of any changes. Type 'Transport' into the 'To' box. This will send a message to our Transport Coordinator and the Office Team. Or email: [email protected]

Our expectation is that your child will be on the minibus unless you inform us otherwise.
