Ruess, lead vocalist for Grammy Award-‐winning band Fun. and acclaimed indie group The Format, will perform in the Tarble Arena at the south end of the Carthage campus, 2001 Alford Park Drive. Special guest Saint Motel will open the 8 p.m. show. General admission tickets cost $25 and will be sold beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14. Tickets can only be purchased online by following the link from www.carthage.edu/nateruess. Ruess’ debut solo album, “Grand Romantic,” was released in June and reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200. Earlier this year, Fun. announced a hiatus so all members could pursue separate projects. Fun. released its second album, “Some Nights,” in 2012, and it has sold nearly 3 million copies. “We Are Young” won the Grammy for Song of the Year, and Fun. took home another Grammy for Best New Artist. Ruess’ duet with Pink, “Just Give Me a Reason,” also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2013. The Campus Consciousness Tour (CCT) is a project of REVERB, an environmental nonprofit that has worked on more than 150 major music tours. Promoting clean energy, the fall 2015 CCT tour is designed to leave a minimal environmental footprint. # # # Carthage College combines an environment of reflection and self-‐discovery with a culture of high expectation so our students uncover and ignite their true potential.
