NSW International Student Awards

Each year, Study NSW delivers these awards to recognise the outstanding contributions international students make to communities in NSW and celebrate excellence in international student community engagement.

The 2020 NSW International Student Awards will shine a light on the inspirational international student leaders, education providers, business and community groups and celebrate their contributions to the community over the past 12 months.

The 2020 NSW International Student Awards ceremony will held at Government House Sydney on Tuesday 8 December 2020.

Award Categories

International Student of the Year awards are offered in the following categories:

Schools Vocational Education and Training (VET) English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) Higher Education

Sponsorship benefits

Corporate social impact: Celebrate and award prizes to inspirational international students and community organisations.

Profile and brand promotion: Build your organisational profile among the international student community and the wider international education sector in NSW.

Media coverage: Leverage a range of media developed through Study NSW, for example social media, newsletters, print and online media coverage, NSW Government media releases, and the event website.

Networking opportunities: Connect with key representatives from international education peak bodies and education providers, as well as student and community organisation finalists and winners.

Sponsorship investment $5,000 plus GST

Logo acknowledgement on the event program. Acknowledgement of sponsorship on Study NSW website, in event-specific newsletter articles and on social media. Sponsorship recognition at the virtual ceremony. Placement of logos in the official highlight video of the ceremony. This video will be published to the Study NSW social media channels. Complementary tickets to the virtual awards ceremony.

Sponsorship conditions

Sponsorship will not be accepted from education providers.

Sponsors will be precluded from nominating and being nominated for the International Student Community Engagement Award.

Sponsorship will not be accepted from organisations that are primarily or exclusively aligned with religious or political groups, tobacco or illegal substances, alcohol, gambling, or any products or messages that may cause offence or bring Study NSW or NSW Treasury into disrepute.

Sponsorship does not involve explicit or implicit endorsement of the sponsor or its products.

Sponsorship conditions

Sponsorship details must be provided on the official sponsorship form. Study NSW will email this form once we receive your initial expression of interest email.

Sponsorships are not mutually exclusive.

Study NSW will not be liable for any costs incurred by organisations when submitting an expression of interest for sponsorship.

Study NSW in its total discretion reserves the right not to accept any sponsorship.

The selection of sponsors is at the discretion of Study NSW, whose decision will be final.

Submitting an Expression of Interest

Please email [email protected] if you are interested in supporting the NSW international education sector through sponsorship of the 2020 NSW International Student Awards.

Study NSW will email through a sponsorship form to be completed and submitted by Friday 30 October 2020.

Sponsors will be notified shortly after submitting an expression of interest.

Sponsorship assessmment

Expressions of interest will be reviewed by Study NSW. Final decisions about sponsorship will be made by the Director, Study NSW.

Expressions of interest will be assessed according to the following criteria:

alignment of the potential sponsor with the Study NSW mission and goals and the international education sector in NSW the potential sponsor’s ability to meet Study NSW’s sponsorship conditions any actual or potential conflict of interest between potential sponsors and Study NSW that the potential sponsor has a sound reputation with the NSW Government.
