Some providers belong only to the active members’ group while some belong to both the active and the retired members’ groups. Still others continue to treat retired members who were patients while the member patient was in active status, but does not accept retirees who were not previous patients. Members approaching retirement age are strongly urged to ask their current vision care practitioner if he or she is also an L.E.H.B. Retiree Plan Participating Provider.
