Dear Patrons, Welcome back to live events at the Bologna Performing Arts Center! We are excited to have artists returning to our stage, and look forward to inviting you to attend shows again. Things will be a little different this spring and summer. Due to the ongoing nature of the pandemic, we are going to put each show on sale individually, about 4-6 weeks before each event. This allows us to make sure we are following the most recent executive orders, including audience capacity guidelines. Please refer to the on-sale dates for each artist in this brochure. Seating has been reduced for our Spring/Summer Series, and is being sold in staggered pairs and groups. We ask that you purchase all of the seats in the grouping to ensure that patrons are comfortable being seated together. At this time, all patrons are required to wear masks during their visit to the Bologna Performing Arts Center. All of our staff and volunteers will also wear masks, and do daily temperature checks and symptom monitoring. We ask you to please monitor your own health, and stay home if you do not feel well. We have also increased our cleaning and sanitation regimens. We have invested in new cleaning systems to ensure that the theater is totally sanitized prior to every performance. We encourage you to call us at 662-846-4625 or visit our website www.bolognapac.com for the latest health and safety operating guidelines prior to your visit. We are eager to resume presenting live events with this Spring/Summer Series.

Study Guide For Teachers The Doo -Wah Riders In Country Coast to Coast Presented by: Young Audiences (866) 500-9265 www.yanj.org www.yaep.org ABOUT THE PROGRAM For twenty years, the Doo-Wah Riders have been riding their own patch of the musical range throughout the west. The Doo-Wahs are an amazing band with a unique, original sound using guitars, fiddles, harmonica, accordion and of course, their voices! They define their sound as "high energy country with a cajun twist". Their tight musicianship and powerful arrangements of classic and original songs have made them favorites everywhere they go! BACKGROUND INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS Country Music has its origins in the folk music of Great Britain and Ireland. The music changed and grew in America because of the influence of music brought from other parts of Europe, Latin America and Africa. Country Music moved from the farm to modern America due to radio. Artists became professionals, but the simple harmonies and themes of writing about working people has never changed. In the 1950’s country Music started to become strongly influenced by cross over artists like Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. Today, Country Music is being strongly influenced by pop music. VOCABULARY WORDS Cajun music The music of Louisiana. Strongly influenced by the local French descendants. The predominant instruments of Cajun music are the fiddle and the accordion. Country music An American musical style with roots in the South. It is also strongly influenced by Western cowboy music and folk music. Most of the instrumentation country music is in string instruments such as banjos, guitars and violin, and a non-string instrument such as the harmonica.

  • “Rumor Has It” That Clay Walker Will Perform at Mill Town Music Hall Country Superstar Will Sing from Three Decades of Hits on February 15Th
For Immediate Release Press Contact: Rob Kremer [email protected] (404) 218-3077 “Rumor Has It” that Clay Walker Will Perform at Mill Town Music Hall Country Superstar will sing from three decades of hits on February 15th BREMEN, Ga. (January 7, 2019) – Clay Walker will take the stage at Mill Town Music Hall on Saturday, Feb. 15th at 7:30 pm EST. Walker has had four platinum-selling albums and two gold albums. Nashville singer/songwriter Jenna Paulette will be the opening act. Mill Town Music Hall, focusing on family-friendly music and events, is located conveniently off I-20 in Bremen (1031 Alabama Avenue). Clay Walker first topped the Billboard country charts in 1993 with back-to-back number one hits, “What’s It to You?” and “Live Until I Die.” Since his initial success, Walker has placed 29 other songs on Billboard’s singles chart including “Dreaming with my Eyes Open,” “If I Could Make Living,” “This Woman and This Man,” “Then What?,” and “Rumor Has It.” In 1996, Walker was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis; however, he was determined not to let that diagnoses stop him. “If you’d asked me when I was diagnosed that first day if I would still be alive, I would have said ‘no’ because that’s what the doctor’s said,” says Walker. “Here I am, and actually I’m probably healthier than I was [when I was diagnosed].” To help fight the disease, Walker started Band Against MS (BAMS) and has raised over $2,000,000 in support of the cause.
