KWC will serve the 2015 and 2016 seasons as an independent as the Panthers move to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The G-MAC will start football in 2017.

2015 marks the 33rd season of modern football at KWC. The sport was renewed on Sept. 3, 1983, after a 53-year absence. The Panthers played when the college was located in Winchester, 15 miles east of Lexington, from 1907 until the 1930 depression.

Brent Holsclaw was named NCAA Division II Coach of the Week (Nov. 13).

Keelan Cole was chosen NCAA Division II co-Wide Receiver of the Week (Oct. 8).

 Kentucky Wesleyan became the irst collegiate football team from the South to play Army. The Panthers lost to the Cadets 47-2 at West Point in 1930.

The Panthers played in one of the irst collegiate football night games in history when they played at Cincinnati in 1929. KWC defeated the Bearcats, 12-10, at Nippert Stadium lit by loodlights. LAST GAME vs. LIMESTONE
