This fall stu- dents and citizens will have the chance to get the real story of what goes on within the Bowling Green Police USA SEEING GOLD Department. According to Thomas Votava chief of police, the aim cf the program is to educate citizens about the many police proce- dures and policies of the depart- ment. "We want to educate the peo- ple on who we (police officers) are, what we do and why we do it," said Votava There are about 20-30 stu- dents per class that meets every Tuesday. People interested must apply and are subjected to a criminal background check to be accepted. This is to maintain the integrity of the program," said Sgt. Mark McDonough, training coordinator.
