The Boulder City Hospital Foundation is pleased to host the 55th annual Art in the Park! Art in the Park is a grand tradition in our community and Southern Nevada. This year’s event features more than 300 artists, a cornucopia of delectable food offerings and a kid’s arts and crafts area sponsored by SOS Radio. The funds raised through Art in the Park help Boulder City Hospital continue services such as mental health services, inpatient physical rehabilitation, Long Term Care plus numerous outpatient services like Surgery, Radiology and Laboratory for our community, visitors and the greater Clark County area. Throughout our history, we have remained true to the idea of providing exceptional patient services. From our Emergency Room, to our Long Term Care program, we continually look to the future when making the necessary investments to keep the Hospital up-to-date with the latest technology to constantly improve access and quality in the delivery of healthcare services. The medical staff and support personnel are more than just highly trained professionals; they are compassionate care givers. With over 200 physicians representing nearly 22 specialties, we are the only Critical Access Hospital in the area. Offering the healing touch when you need it, our team of professionals are dedicated to providing personalized services that improve the quality of life for our patients and our community. Boulder City Hospital is the only hospital in Nevada that is not supported by a tax district, other regulated subsidies or a corporate parent. The financial support generated by Art in the Park contributes to our ability to continue to provide quality care close to home. This wonderful event would not be possible without the support of our sponsors and our community. Over 300 volunteers have helped to make Art in the Park a favorite amongst our artists, crafters and visitors. There are a number of published estimates of perennial yield for many of the hydrographic areas in Nevada, and those estimates often differ by large amounts. The perennial-yield values listed in Table 3-35 predominantly come from a single source, the Nevada Division of Water Planning (DIRS 103406-Nevada Division of Water Planning 1992, for Hydrographic Regions 10, 13, and 14); therefore, the table does not show a range of values for each hydrographic area. In the Yucca Mountain area, the Nevada Division of Water Planning identifies a combined perennial yield for hydrographic areas 225 through 230. DOE obtained perennial yields from Data Assessment & Water Rights/Resource Analysis of: Hydrographic Region #14 Death Valley Basin (DIRS 147766-Thiel 1999, pp. 6 to 12) to provide estimates for hydrographic areas the Caliente rail alignment would cross: 227A, 228, and 229. That 1999 document presents perennial-yield estimates from several sources. Table 3-35 lists the lowest (that is, the most conservative) values cited in that document, which is consistent with the approach DOE used in the Yucca Mountain FEIS (DIRS 155970-DOE 2002, p. 3-136). DOE/EIS-0369 3-173 AFFECTED ENVIRONMENT – CALIENTE RAIL ALIGNMENT Table 3-35 also summarizes existing annual committed groundwater resources for each hydrographic area along the Caliente rail alignment. However, all committed groundwater resources within a hydrographic area might not be in use at the same time.     Water Trail 1 Lake Mead National Recreation Area—Black Canyon National Water Trail The 26-mile long Black Canyon Water Trail is located along a rugged and remote portions of the Colorado River in Nevada and Arizona within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The trail begins at the base of the Hoover Dam and meanders through Black Canyon along 26 miles of the Colorado River. The trail ends at Eldorado Canyon, a historic mining area on Lake Mohave. This spectacular river setting provides unique paddling and rafting opportunities alongside wilderness. Visitors can stop at sandy beach- Kayaking is Very Popular es, colorful caves, plentiful coves and active hot springs. Desert Bighorn Sheep and other wildlife such as bald eagles, peregrine fal- cons, red-tailed hawks, osprey, cormorants and waterfowl are often seen along the route. There is a great deal of history associated Desert Bighorn Sheep with the Hoover Dam including the sauna cave, gauging sta- tions, catwalks, trails and building foundations. The National Water Trail System establishes in 2002, is a na- tional network of water trails cooperatively supported and sus- tained for the public to explore and enjoy. Designated water trails incorporate recreation opportunities, education about the value of the resource, conservation, community support, public information, and trail maintenance and planning. There are 16 within the National Water Trails System. Black Canyon Water Trail is the first water trail in the Southwest and the only water trail that traverses through a desert. (1) Users of the trail going downriver can either take out at Willow Beach or go an addition- al 14 miles and take-out at Eldorado Can- yon.
