WAFL marks new footy territory

It is the last piece of the puzzle for WA football. And it comes into the State’s sporting landscape with great anticipation, even if it will mark a dramatic shift in the thinking of a 134-year-old competition. A premier women’s league has arrived and years of planning will kick into action this weekend with two WAFLW matches – East Fremantle v Peel and Swan Districts against Subiaco. Claremont will have the bye in the opening Publisher round.
