Brown plastic with a picture of Nipper the Dog listening to His Master’s Voice on the dial, the radio fills endless hours of the day with music and chatter. Mom listens intently all day, singing along with her favourite songs, crying during the sad songs and laughing at the announcers’ banter in their golden tones, as she calls them.
