Nachdem die für Mai 2020 geplanten Konzerte schon in den Februar verschoben werden mussten, werden diese nun ein weiteres Mal verlegt und finden im Januar/Februar 2022 statt. Alle bereits erworbenen Tickets behalten für die Nachholtermine ihre Gültigkeit. Präsentiert wird die Tour von kulturnews, piranha, START, event. und MusikBlog.de. (040) 853 88 888 ∙ www.fkpscorpio.com 05.02.2020 Blossoms im Mai auf Clubtour in Deutschland Kürzlich erschien mit „Foolish Loving Spaces“ das dritte Album von Blossoms. Und erneut ist der Indie-Pop-Band aus Stockport ein feines Meisterwerk geglückt. Sänger, Gitarrist und Songwriter Tom Ogdens Lyrics erzählen eine fesselnde, romantische Geschichte mit Licht und Schatten. Pianist und Keyboarder Myles Kellock bildet die Stimmung ab, indem er halbironisch und nahtlos zwischen Synthielinien, die einem Gameshow-Thema ähneln, und klassischen Klavier-Akkorden wechselt. Die Farbe und den Breitwand-Sound bringt Pedal-Steel- und Lead-Gitarrist Josh Dewhurst ins Spiel, während die Rhythmusgruppe mit Bassist Charlie Salt und Schlagzeuger Joe Donovan für die flüssigen und tanzbaren Grooves sorgen. „Foolish Loving Spaces“ ist ein reifes Album einer jungen Band, die sich weiterentwickelt. Schon kurz nach der Gründung im Jahr 2013 begeisterte die Schülerband den Großraum Manchester und das selbstbetitelte Debüt war ein riesiger Erfolg. Die Briten waren für den Mercury Prize ebenso nominiert wie für den Brit Award als British Breakthrough Act. Mit dem Nachfolger „Cool Like You“ setzten sie ihren Weg fort, um nun mit Platte drei gemächlich einen neuen Weg einzuschlagen. Selten hat man die Möglichkeit, einer Band so genau beim Großwerden zuhören zu können. Die Musik der gereiften Blossoms ist tiefer und verschachtelter geworden, ohne dass die Band in ihrem Enthusiasmus und ihrer Spontanität auch nur ein bisschen nachgelassen hätte. Im Mai kommen die Briten mit dem neuen Album auf Tour.
