FAQ – Bell Employee Purchase Program (EPP) at The Source

Q1. What is the Bell employee purchase program at The Source?

The Bell employee purchase program (EPP) at The Source allows employees and retirees of Bell, BCE and associated companies to benefit from reduced pricing on products at The Source.

Q2. Who is eligible for the Bell EPP at The Source?

Permanent full-time or part-time employees of Bell, BCE and the following associated companies:

• Bell Aliant • Bell Conferencing • Bell Technical Solutions • Bell Media/CTV • The Createch Group • Expertech • Northwestel • Virgin Mobile

Retirees receiving a pension from Bell or BCE (age 55 and over, with a total of age plus years of service equal to at least 80).

Q3. Are employees on a leave of absence eligible for the Bell EPP at The Source?

Yes, employees on parental, disability and other leaves of absence are eligible for the Bell EPP at The Source provided they meet the conditions above.

Q4. What are the Bell EPP at The Source discounts?

Q5. How do I get the Bell EPP discount?

There are three easy ways to get the Bell EPP savings at The Source:

Online: Register for an online account using your employee ID number and use promo code “epp” when ordering through thesource.ca (click here for more details)

In store: Present your employee ID card at a participating The Source location. If you’re a retiree, present your valid drug card (i.e. Assure, Express Scripts ESI) and a photo ID.

By phone: Call 1-866-454-4426,(FR: 1.866.454.4431) and mention the Bell employee purchase program, then provide your employee or retiree ID number.

NEW: The Source EPP Card. The Source EPP Card is available to all eligible program participants, and can be used as a valid piece of ID when accompanied with valid photo ID when shopping at The Source. Contact your HR benefit prime to obtain your valid The Source EPP Card 1-888-400-0661.

Q6. Does the Bell EPP at The Source also apply to sale-priced items? Yes, the Bell EPP discount applies to both regular and sale-priced items, but cannot be combined with any other discount program, such as price-matching.

Q7. What products are excluded from the Bell EPP at The Source?

There are no Bell EPP discounts on the following products:

• Gaming consoles, MP3 hardware and mobile devices including tablets • Refurbished products • Gift cards, wireless virtual pins and prepaid mobile cards

Q8. Will The Source match competitors’ sale prices?

If an identical product is available from a competitor for a lower price, you can get it for the same price from The Source thanks to their Price Match Guarantee.

However, you may not combine the Bell EPP savings with a discount obtained through price-matching. You may choose whichever discount is greater.

Q9. Does the Bell EPP at The Source provide discounts on Bell TV, Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile products?

No, Bell and Virgin Mobile products are not included in the Bell EPP at The Source. However, most employees and retirees are eligible for the Bell Employee Discount Plan, which provides a 35% discount on most Bell services.

Q10. When does the Bell EPP at The Source end?

The Bell EPP at The Source does not have an expiry date. However, The Source and Bell reserve the right to modify or end the program without notice.

Q11. Can my friends and family benefit from the Bell EPP at The Source?

No, the Bell EPP discount is not transferable and will only apply to purchases made by eligible employees and retirees.

Q12. What is the return policy?

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, feel free to return it with your receipt within 30 days of purchase. Please visit thesource.ca for the current return policy.

Q13. Is there a limit to the items I can purchase?

There is no limit to the number of items you can purchase through the Bell EPP at The Source. However, only one TV and one computer may be purchased every six months at store cost and must be purchased in store to obtain this discount.

Q14. What if the product I want is currently not available? The Bell EPP discount only applies to in-stock items. Rain checks will not be issued.

Q15. Do Bell employees and retirees get free shipping?

Shipping to your home is not available when ordering by phone or online. You must pick up your purchases in store and present your valid employee or retiree ID.

Q16. What is “Ship to store”?

When ordering online or by phone, The Source can ship your items for free to a nearby The Source store within 3 to 5 days.

One-hour pick-up for online and phone orders may not be available for items purchased through the Bell EPP. If one-hour pick-up is available, you will be notified during your shopping transaction.

Q17. Are the Bell EPP discounts at The Source a taxable benefit?

No, the discounts are not a taxable benefit.

Q18. Can I get the Bell EPP discount at any The Source store?

Currently, only corporate The Source stores are participating in the Bell EPP. Click here for a list of participating stores in your area.

NOTE: Although some The Source dealers do not participate in the program, you may chose to ship to and pick up your online shopping products at ANY The Source location.
