View Maintnance Programme Planned Maintenance Programme and Manual October20 Sunderland PFI φτυϊ This document provides forward programming and information on all planned maintenance activities to be carried out between 2016 and 2028. Prepared By: Paul Stoddart 20 October 2016 Balfour Beatty Approval SCC Approval Overview This document provides details of the planned maintenance programme 2016 to 2028 for the following activities x Electrical Tests x Bulk Lamp Change x Unit Clean x Electrical Testing x Visual Inspections Details of each of the process carried out in these activities can be found in Method Statement 6 of the project pack. Cycles within method statement 6 will be adhered to with the exception of sign and bollard cleaning activities outlined in contract change notice 86,87 and 88. Asset Breakdown Appendix H gives details of how the City is broken down into 104 areas. Each area is a geographically compact and logically defined area to allow efficient programming of works. Programming Methodology Appendix A to G gives detail of the master programme for all planned maintenance activities from 2016 to 2028. At the start of each year an annual maintenance programme will be produced detailing in which month a particular activity will be carried out. Compiling this programme has required analysing all historical maintenance records and where required deviation from historic schedule timings to re-align activities within geographical areas. The majority of the small amount of alterations has involved bringing forward an activity but occasionally it was necessary to push back a maintenance activity. Balfour Beatty will monitor this and take intermediate action if in the unlikely event it is required. Quantities stated in the annual plan are subject to change to take into account Accrual and De- accrual of apparatus. Following the issue of each activity schedule, analysis will be carried out to look at all reactive maintenance activities that have been carried out on the selected units. If a lamp on a 4 year cycle has been change in the previous 6 months, it will be left in situ and not changed as part of the Bulk Lamp Change. Records on Mayrise will be updated to reflect this. Likewise for lamps on a 2 Year change cycle, no bulk lamp change will be carried out if the lamp has been changed through reactive maintenance in the previous 3 months. Programme Flex The outline timings for activities detailed in this document and any issued annual plan detail documents are for guidance. From time to time there may be some flux in the annual programme to allow the Contractor to be more flexible in delivering additional works to SCC. However where a particular activity is planned for a specific year, the contractor will complete this works in that year. Any programme delays will be discussed in the Monthly Invoice Review Meeting and agreed. It is noted that the contractor will be responsible for any increase in reactive maintenance as per performance standard 3 with respect to lamp failures due to programme delays. Impact of the LED replacement Programme It is inevitable that the process of carrying out lantern replacements over the coming year will directly affect programmed maintenance activities. Works will be carried out as agreed until such time as a unit has been replaced with a LED lantern. Additional maintenance schedules will be generated to cater for the maintenance cycles required for LED units. These schedules will be added to this document as an additional appendix at the appropriate time. • CAMRA ANGLE the FREE Quarterly Newsletter from the Sunderland & South Tyneside Branch of CAMRA Beacon Re-Opens
FREE!!!!FREE!!!! Issue PPLEASELEASE TAKETAKE 21 ONEONE!! Summer 2010 CAMRA ANGLE The FREE quarterly newsletter from the Sunderland & South Tyneside Branch of CAMRA Beacon Re-Opens After being closed for several months since last year the Beacon, on South Shields Law Top, has re-opened with two handpulls on the bar, at the time of the authors visit the two ales on sale were Timo- thy Taylors Land- lord and Gales Sea- farer Ale. Although the Beacon is a little outside the town centre it is well worth a visit for a pint of real ale and also the superb views over the mouth of the river Tyne in front of the pub and the Roman Fort, Arbeia, out the back of the pub. 16 We know for sure that beer has been brewed for about 6,000 years, but it’s likely that brewing first started in Neolithic times, basically since harvesting of cereals first began! Beer has a some- what mystical history. Beer was used to honour the dead in An- cient Egypt, was an ancestral offering in China and brewers who abused their position in Babylon faced the death sentence! It is unclear exactly when beer was introduced to the U.K. but it is known that it moved westwards and northwards from it's beginnings in North West Africa, migrating with the cultivation of barley and the movement of peoples. Beer was likely to have been drunk along by the Celtic druid populations that populated Britain before the arri- val of the Romans. The Romans noted that the Britons largely drank 'ale', comprising of barley, fermented yeast and water.
