Although we have never documented a nesting Kemp’s ridley after July 15 in Texas, Kemp’s ridley’s continue to nest at Rancho Nuevo in Tamaulipas, Mexico through mid- August. If you encounter a nesting sea turtle on the beach, here are a few helpful tips: 1. Do not disturb of handle nesting turtles, eggs, or hatchlings 2.
