The Tree of Love is decorated with white lights, while the near- by Celebration Tree features col- orful lights. “(The white lights) are for people who have passed. The colored lights are for celebra- tion – they’re for birthdays, graduations (and other occa- sions),” said Carol D’Alberto, the president of the hospital auxiliary. After a brief prayer by Father Frank Kordek, the trees were lit and the crowd sang “First Noel,” before everyone went inside to continue the program.
