Bert Green Fine Art is pleased to present our first solo shows by British born and Los Angeles-based Derek Boshier, and Chicago-based Ginger Krebs.

Derek Boshier first came to prominence as a student at the in in the early 1960s, with fellow students , Allen Jones, R.B. Kitaj, and others in the British movement. His "Ghosts of…" series now includes Chicago, and these drawings were made specifically for this exhibition. The artist states: “For Chicago I researched and selected people I want to include to give a diverse range. In "Ghosts of Chicago" it is the first time I have included people still alive as they are contemporary and very important to the city."

Ginger Krebs' small-scale sculptures spoof real world organic forms using discarded materials put through a rigorous process of reinvention. She is interested in the nature of waste and how inorganic matter and minute fragments of our synthetic things have made their way into every nook and cranny of life on earth. With these sculptures, she imagines future life forms which may see our detritus as their own bodies.

All gallery events are free and open to the public. Additional information found at the gallery website at http://bgfa.us.
