COMMENTS RECEIVED

76 The and District Access Group, following the Borough Council’s Disability, Equality and Access Officer’s review of Polling Venues used at the European Elections in May 2014, commented that the Old School in Bolnhurst was not a good venue as a polling station. This was due to it having a poor pathway and a step down inside the door. With the lack of suitable venues within the area they did also comment that was probably no solution. Arrangements have been made to visit the venue to seek to resolve the issues identified in the Disability, Equality and Access Officer’s report.

The Group also commented that there were no lights in the porch of Colmworth Village Hall when it is dark. Further investigation of this would be undertaken.

Further, the Group reported that Roxton Village Hall needed to provide larger blue badge holder signs and that this would be communicated to the Village Hall committee by the Disability, Equality and Access Officer.

There are no amendments from the draft proposals to those in these final proposals.
