Your Text Here The stunning scenery of Punakha in Autumn DAY 00~01- 11~12/09/2019 【SIN ~ PARO ~ THIMPHU】 (68Km 01Hrs) L/D Welcome to Bhutan, upon arrival at Paro airport you will be received by your tour guide. Drive to Thimphu. On the way visit Longest Iron Suspension bridge built in 14 Century. Lunch at Village Restaurant. After lunch take a short drive and make a visit to Buddha Point perched on the hillock, the 169ft bronze Buddha is the largest in world. Get a scenic view of Thimphu city. After this, continue your visit to Royal Takin Preserve, the wildlife reserve area for Takin, the National Animal of Bhutan. Evening drive about 30mins to Dochula for Tonight’s halt at Dochula Eco Resort. Located at a distance of about 5 mins from Dochula Pass(10,334ft), the Eco Resort is situated on top of a hill giving you a panoramic view of the eastern Himalayan ranges on clear days. Dinner at the Hotel. Royal Takin Iron Suspension Bridge View of the Himalayas Buddha Point DAY 02- 13/09/2019 【 DOCHULA ~ BUMTHANG 】 (250Km 06Hrs ) B/L/D Today will be yet another exciting journey for you all. After a good breakfast at Zhingkham Hotel, we will start the journey from an elevation of 4,300ft. Driving through rich vegetation varying from place to place with a local settlement along the road will anticipate you more. We will break for a tea on the way at Pele La Pass(11,000ft). Proceed our journey down to Rukubji Valley, get the most scenic view of the valley from the hill top. The most beautiful landscape along the high way, Rukubji is an authentic clustered village with rich traditional designs surrounded by rivers and pasture lands. At this time, you can get the view of the golden mastered flowers blooming all over. We will drive down to the village to explore more. Lunch at Chenden Bji Restaurant. Pele la Pass Rukubji Village Trongsa Dzong Chenden bji Continue your drive, on the way you will come across Trongsa Dzong, one of the most impressive in the kingdom. Built in 17th century by Zhabdrung, this is a masterpiece of architecture with several courtyards and corridors and 23 temples. Drive to Bumthang through the most scenic landscape of lush pine forests, open fields and quaint hamlets. Throughout the journey, you will come across beautiful sceneries of rural Bhutan. On the way visit the Yathra (Wool) Weaving Center. Continue driving to Bumthang, home to some of Bhutan’s oldest Palaces and temples. Bhutan Raven Nest Tours & Treks www.takemebhutan.com DAY 03- 14/09/2019 【BUMTHANG SIGHTSEEING & DAY EXCURSION】 B/L/D Start your day with a visit to Jakar Dzong, built as a monastery in 1549. It was upgraded after the Zhabdrung had firmly established his power in 1646. The Dzong is now used as administrative center for Bumthang valley, and houses the regional monk body. Then short 10- minute hike up to Shug Drag, the sacred Guru Rinpoche cave, 2km past Thangbi. A series of ladders leads pilgrims past a lovely butter-lamp shrine to a rock-face chapel, where a monk can point out the stone footprint, handprint and body print of the Guru. Picnic Lunch. After lunch visit Kurjey Lhakhang. It consists of three temples. The one on the right was built in 1652 on the rock face where Guru meditated in the 8th century. Second temple is built on the site of a cave containing a rock with the imprint of Guru's body and is therefore considered the most holy. The third temple was built in 1990s by the Queen Mother. Talk a short walk through the village and make a visit to Tamshing Lhakhang. This temple was founded in 1501 by Terton Pema Jakar Tzong Lingpa, the re-incarnation of Guru Padsambhava. The monastery has very ancient religious paintings like 1,000 Buddha’s and 21 Tara’s (female form of Bodhisattva). The temple was restored at the end of the 19th century. We will then visit to the Herbal Plantation, where we can see different kinds of herbs used in traditional medicine and local healing methods. Evening visit to the Red Panda Wine Brewery and Gouda Cheese Production house. Overnight at Bumthang DAY 04 - 15/09/2019 【DAY EXCURSION TO TANG UGYENCHOELING】 B/L/D After breakfast, drive towards east of Bumthang to Tang Valley. Visit Burning Lake (Mebar Tsho), it is considered one of the most sacred sites in the region as it is related to the renowned religious treasure reveler (Terton) Terton Pema Lingpa. Drive through the lush tropical forest along the wide spread valley. Visit Tang Rimochen Temple. It is a Buddhist belonging to the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. The name of the temple is associated with tiger stripes, which can be seen on the rock. Lunch on the way. Visit Tang Ugyen Choeling Palace. It’s referred to by terms which alluded to its religious nature as being a monastery or hermitage, Gompa. Visit the Museum. Overnight at Tang Ugyen Choeling Palace. Ugyen Choeling Palace DAY 05 - 16/09/2019 【BUMTHANG TO THIMPHU 250km - 06Hrs】 B/L/D After a morning tea, take a short walk through the village to see the daily chores of the village people. Tang is one of the most historical place with most amazing sceneries, surrounded by hills and mountains. After breakfast, we will take a look at the museum to know something about the village and the country’s development over the years. After this, we will start our journey back to Thimphu. D A Y 0 6 - 17/ 0 9 / 2 0 1 9 【 HIKE TO CHELELA PASS 】 B/L/D The 35km drive to【 Chele La Pass】 makes an interesting road excursion. Chele la separates Haa and Paro valley and at 3988m, it is one of the highest motor able pass in Bhutan. The drive till here through dense spruce and larch forests according to the seasons. On a clear day, there are spectacular views of Mt. Jomolhari, Jichu Drake and adjoining peaks to the North West, as well as the view of Haa and Paro valley. Picnic Lunch on the way. Visit Kila Goempa Nunnery Center. It is a home to Buddhist nuns, which is beautifully located on a rocky cliff with a main temple and several meditation huts. Buddhist nuns give up their worldly possession and seek spiritual happiness through Buddhist dharma in this place. Overnight at Paro.
