When our dear friend, Terry Huff, lost Danny Boy, he struggled to find a fitting final salute for his beloved dog. That's how The Departing was born. All of us here at The Departing Shot knew that someday, when the time came, we would want to return our hunting dogs to the fields they loved. And, we wanted a memento to keep at home to remind us of the trails we traveled together.
