We appreciate our students, both for who they are and who they are becoming, and we continuously celebrate their emerging selves while challenging them to reach their full potential. We do so with a rigorous curriculum rooted in compassion and warmth, innovation and technology, a love for Torah learning, mitzvot and chessed. Our gifted faculty and meaningful programming instill a lifelong passion for learning among our 550 students (from toddlers through 8th grade). We boast a diverse and cosmopolitan student body, drawing from many backgrounds and nationalities, including Sephardi, Ashkenazi, American, South American, Israeli, and French families.     ARTS EDJE Leaders, Teaching Artists, Presenters Rabbi Binyamin Krauss Rabbi Binyamin Krauss has served as the Principal of SAR Academy since 2005. He has a degree in Philosophy from Yeshiva University and received Rabbinic Ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary. He served as Vice President of The Ronald S. Lauder Foundation from 1999-2005. Based in Germany, Rabbi Krauss established schools and other educational programs for Jewish students in Eastern and Central Europe, including the Lauder Morijah School in Cologne, Germany, and the Lauder School in Zagreb, Croatia. He also served as professor of Talmud at the University of Heidelberg and speaks German, Russian, and Hebrew. He currently resides in Yonkers with his wife and five children. Sharon Marson Sharon Marson, SAR’s Director of the ARTS & Enrichment, is the founder of ARTS EDJE and leads SAR Academy’s Art, Music and Library Departments as well as its Enrichment Cluster Program, Adult Ed Arts Institute, and other Arts-related school programs. She is author of The Wisdom of A Starry Night-Using the Power of Great ​ Art for Self-Awareness published by Barnes & Noble Publishing and ​ More Than Four Questions-Inviting Children’s Voices to the Seder published by Ben Yehuda Press.
