The café is a great addition to our community and is always busy when I pop in for a cup of their splendid coffee. The 6 WHAT’S ON soup lunch continues on the first Wednesday of each month and in June there will also be a ploughmans on offer – if you haven’t visited the café yet, please make BASINGSTOKE DISABILITY sure you try their wares very soon. CONNEXIONS It doesn’t seem possible that our W.I. is going to be 25 years old in June – see page 7 THE BASINGSTOKE LADIES CHOIR 12. The W.I. is often seen as an institution for ‘oldies’ but it is actually a national treasure and enjoyed by all ages. It is a great way to meet new people and have fun. KEMPSHOTT CONSERVATION GROUP Congratulations to Terri Reid who retained her seat on Basingstoke & Deane 8 LAMB BROOKS LEGAL EYE Borough Council. Terri works very hard to represent our community and resolve local issues. Results of the election are below. HATCH WARREN BEGGARWOOD CYCLING CLUB The Hatch Warren Community Centre is busy arranging exciting outings and events for all local residents – see page 18 for news and details of the upcoming 10 SAINSBURY’S Cider Festival and Summer festival. The Community Centre AGM is on 13 June and all members are invited to attend.
