Liam Broady (GBR), 23, took care of business early this morning with a 6-2, 6-2 win over (BEL) at the 30th annual $100,000 Nordic Naturals Challenger presented by Santa Cruz County Bank. After a somewhat unexpected win, (GBR) says, “I beat him the last time we played, so I was pretty confident going into this match, especially after qualifying and beating the number 4 seed first round, but I know he's a good player so I was ready for a battle too.”

Meanwhile playing on center court, number 5 seed, (KAZ) battled it out with wildcard winner, (USA) to result in a 6-7(3), 7-6(3) 6-3 win for Mikhail Kukushkin (KAZ). Directly following this match, 20-year-old (KAZ) handedly defeated Henri Laaksonen (SUI), resulting in a final score of 6-1, 6-1.
