A ROOM WITH A VIEW--Today marks the 75th day that Kansas City has either shared or stood alone atop the A.L. Central in 2015 well ahead of the 33 such days during the 2014 campaign...this year’s squad opened the season with a 7-game winning streak and the closest KC has come back to .500 has been five games at 7-2 and 8-3...dating back to July 22 of last year, the Royals have recorded a big league best 98 wins, which are one more than the National League leading Cardinals. NED A ROYAL RECORD HOLDER--The 16th full-time manager in Royals’ history, Ned Yost, became the winningest skipper in franchise annals with #411 on June 18 vs. Milwaukee, passing Royals’ Hall of Famer, Whitey Herzog, who won 410 games from 1975-79, while Ned is now 430-439...Yost passed the late Dick Howser for the #2 spot on June 8 in Minnesota...since the All-Star break of 2013, Ned has guided the Royals to the best record in the American League at 189-137 for a .580 winning pct...also the all-time leader in games managed in Kansas City with 869, this is Ned’s second stint as a big league manager after nearly six years at the helm for Milwaukee (2003-2008), compiling a 457-502 record with the Brew Crew including a 166-146 mark in his last two seasons...Yost’s 887 total wins as a big league manager rank 69th all time and now only seven shy of Cito Gaston for 68th, while Ned’s 1,828 games managed are 64th on the all-time list, nine behind Paul Richards for 63rd. vs. Astros (2015) vs. Astros (career) At Home (career) Kazmir (career) Feldman (career)
