ooding Ceremony H 2017 Wake Forest University School of Business Wait Chapel Sunday, May 14 Candidates for and holders of master's and doctoral degrees wear hoods over their robes. The hood symbolizes a heavy burden. The hood identifies the level of the degree, the field of learning and the institution that awards it. The color of the trim declares the major of the field of learning; drab represents Commerce, Accountancy, and Business. The colors that line the hood identify the university awarding the degree; Wake Forest University colors are old gold and black.

In the School of Business, specific degree groupings are also designated by tassel color; Master of Arts in Management candidates wear white, Master of Business Administration candidates wear drab, and Master of Science in Accountancy and Master of Science in Business Analytics candidates wear gold.
