Their support and delivery at events at all levels, from Shoes and Rules : Road to Tokyo 2021 local league meetings to Major Championships is fundamental to the success of our sport. They contribute to the social and economic value of athletics by giving of their free time for the simple satisfaction of seeing others succeed and enjoy the social aspects of working as a team and the bond this can create. Volunteers can be a mix of young aspirational people and experienced officials. One thing in common is that they all continue to develop their skills and gain experience and of course there are individuals who no longer compete that want to give back to their sport they so dearly love. At grass roots level, we find many volunteers or officials are parents of athletes wishing to support their children. So, how do we continue to recruit and how do we keep them engaged in the sport? Auf die Plätze zwei und drei schafften es Tanja Eberhart von ULC Hirtenberg und Ham- merwerferin Julia Siart von SVS-Leichtathletik. Die junge Langstreckenläu- ferin wurde nach 2011 auch 2012 schnellste Österreicherin beim Vienna City Marathon; Julia Siart stellte 2012 mit 58,25 Metern einen neuen ÖLV- Rekord im Hammerwurf auf. Bei den Männern erhielt Diskuswerfer Gerhard Mayer von SVS- Leichtathletik die meisten Stimmen. In London konnte er 17 Athleten in der Qualifikation hinter sich lassen, schlussendlich wurde Mayer 24. Die ganze Saison 2012 hindurch zeigte er eine konstant hohe Leistung. Seine Saison- bestleistung von 63,33m warf Gerhard Mayer in Helsingborg (SWE). Auf dem zweiten Rang landete Mehrkämpfer Dominik Distelberger von UVB Purgstall, der verletzungsbedingt seit Anfang des Jahres einen Trainings- rückstand aufzuholen hatte. Dennoch konnte er die Europameisterschaft in Helsinki mit 7611 Punkten als 15. abschließen. Vrcholem atletického roku 2007 bude bøeznové halové ME v Birminghamu, ale pøedevím letní mistrovství svìta v japonské Ósace. Na území naí republiky se bude poprvé konat MS do 17 let. Mìstský stadion v Ostravì bude hostit tento svìtový gigant ve dnech 11.15. èervence. Z dalích velkých mítinkù byl potvrzen termín 46. roèníku Zlaté tretry (27. èervna) a 14. roèníku Memoriálu Josefa Odloila (13. èervna). Na obou mítincích mohou atleti sbírat body do World Athletics Tour. Zlatá tretra zùstala zaøazena do Grand Prix IAAF a Memoriál Josefa Odloila do EAA Premium mítinkù. V kalendáøi mítinkù IAAF World Athletics Tour nedolo k ádným zmìnám. Zlatá liga bude mít i pro pøítí rok est mítinkù, takté kategorie Super Grand Prix IAAF se bude skládat ze esti mítinkù. V rámci Grand Prix IAAF nás pøítí rok èeká 12 závodù, stejnì jako letos. Na úrovni mítinkù EAA Premium mìlo pùvodnì dojít ke sníení poètu mítinkù z patnácti na deset, ale byl vyøazen pouze ruský Memoriál bratøí Znamenských, který se posunul o tøídu níe, tedy do kategorie EAA Permit.
