Poldare (House-name at Bude) = Polldar Derived from poll ‘pool’ and dar ‘oaks’.
Lanterdan (Treknow) = NO FIRM CONCLUSION However the name was thought to contain nans ‘valley’, cf Lanteglos < nans. The second element could be dar ‘oaks’. The last element could be OWS –dun ‘hill’ cf. Launceston (OWS tun added to a Cornish name) Landithy (Madron) = Lann + OBSCURE See accompanying paper The Panel rejected the idea in the paper that this name was derived from lann + te + St Day, i.e. a hypocoristic form.
The Panel also considered a paper regarding lenition following feminine generics in street names. It was decided not to amend current policy, pending any further research.
