Mechelen, 1 March 2012. Telenet is extending Yelo, its multimedia platform. Yelo is an innovative platform offering a top-quality experience and giving consumers access to entertainment wherever and whenever they want. The new version ensures better quality and greater ease of use. The range of channels on offer is being increased, with 14 new channels including VT4 and VijfTV and lots of French-language channels. Thanks to Yelo, everyone will be able to enjoy their own programmes on their own device, whether it is a PC, tablet or iOS – and now Android as well. You can watch TV, check the TV guide or programme your Digicorder wherever you are.

More than a year after the launch of Yelo, the multimedia platform can boast some positive results. We now have no less than 260,000 Yelo users. One striking finding is that consumers prefer to watch sport on their PCs. Another interesting detail is that children’s programmes are two and a half times more likely to be viewed on a tablet or smartphone than on a PC.

For instance, customers will be able to watch , La Deux, , RTL-TVi, Club RTL, and Plug RTL via the application and website. Kanaal Z, , CNBC, Ment, Actua TV and Bloomberg are also being added to the assortment of channels. This brings the total number of channels that can be watched live via Yelo.be or the Yelo app to 31.

Now also on Android The updated application is now also available for Android users. They were able to use the platform before via the site www.yelo.be, but now they can also download the app from the Android Market. As a result, Telenet customers will be able to access Yelo not just via their PCs, iPhones or iPads but also on their Android tablets.
