It's like, I really enjoy simplistic, one-point-driven plots, or at least a basic premise that applies to every plot arc. And I really love historical accuracy. But this manga has none of that. It uses several cliches without a point in order to drive the plot and elongate a well-meaning comedic premise. It gets boring really quick because of it, and I honestly had to drop it because I disliked the cliche and the main male lead so much. Yes, Tail of the Moon in my "Completed List", but I believe I've completed it enough, given how poorly-developed the plot is later on. I really did like the beginning, and though the FMC was annoying and boring, I actually liked the original plotline before it delved into something far too complicated for the mangaka to possibly execute well. The art was fine, character development poor, and only slightly funny. TL;DR: Liked the humor and characters in the beginning, hated the ending. Falls into cliches, has okay art, and has poorly-developed everything else. Last updated on March 24th,am. Was this comment useful? If you want to read something funny. Rating: Each individual character has their own unique personality they were all well written. It was a cute manga so if you want something Tail of the Moon on the serious side I wouldn't really recommend this. Personally for the laughs alone this has become a favorite. There are some more serious notes that come about and they don't just brush over them with the comedy it was really well balanced IMO. The main character is a bit slow and a cry baby but it made sense with the story line. She was just a really clumsy lazy girl trying to become a ninja. Kind of a joke. Way too long and drawn out for a comedy shoujo. While it is Tail of the Moon at times, it's lacking a serious main character Tail of the Moon plot line. Definitely not a read that will make you think, nor does it feel well crafted and thought out. The female lead is only "hard working" to combat her perpetual laziness and the mild character progression is in no way profound or applicable to real life. She's dopey and child-like through and through. Additionally, many of the Tail of the Moon characters are flat and just shift around to however the plot was written but dont act as believable individuals. The plot does no one justice. It's just a bunch of arcs one after another of her meeting a new person, usually a hot guy, only to prance around trying to become wifey material with them. Many adventure manga have similar arcs but in the least still have something deeper tying things together. Usagi's betrothal is the only thing standing. Regardless, it's a matter of preference of what you want to read, so if you're looking for something fun it might be Tail of the Moon you. Last updated on January 5th,am. Takes time to reach the good Tail of the Moon. Rating: 8. Finished the whole manga in 2 nights. I like the development and character growth but some parts can be pretty predictable. He's so multi-dimensional! I also like how the author wrapped it up. Not worth a second read. There were some good points and some bad points. I loved how Tail of the Moon it started though Usagi was your typically clumsy, no-good, crybaby heroine she was filled with some misplaced inspiration and determination. This was pretty good because she was such a comic relieft. As the story progressed, there were some unexpected twists and turns that made the plot good, but some parts were just bad and too typical of shoujo. Towards the end though, I felt that it was a bit rushed and forced. And I Tail of the Moon hate this part: Spoiler mouse over to view. The manga depicted Usagi to be a stronger and tougher ninja after the destruction of Iga, but when she meets with her family the supposedly new Usagi became the old Usagi, a crybaby and always seemed so helpless, which is really weird because I thought she was an elite shinobi. I was finally excited to see a new and improved Usagi but they just had to spoil it by making her dependable on Tail of the Moon same people that helped her before. Jesus freaking Christ. One thing I can't stand about this manga is how love-crazed everyone seemed to be, especially and unsurprisingly Usagi.
